Topsoil is the organic layer which is used for the planning of vegetation with is a water absorbing medium allowing Plant sustainable life.

Screened Topsoil

Screened Topsoil is topsoil that has been tough a screening plant Albany and North Shore Topsoil use a 20mm Square Screen which means all particles at the time of screening are 20mmX20mm.

Other types of Screens are Piano wire screens which simply have one singular dimension of between 16mm and 30mm these screens are NOT Used by this company and not recommended as they allow roots and other foreign matter into the screened product.

Where does our topsoil come from 

Most of the company topsoil is imported from previous orchards and farmland.

Sterilised Topsoil 

Every few days people ask is your topsoil sterilised. 

If it was it wouldn’t grow anything (please read the nutrient section in technical information.

Is our topsoil weed free 

We have no Idea whether it is weed free or not weed free at the time of processing no weeds are evident however this does not guarantee it will be weed free furthermore your neighbour’s property im sure is not weed free and birds transfer seeds from property to property as do cats dogs and other animals. 

In the event you see weeds developing in the soil we recommend you use glyphosate  in the dosage recommended on the manufacturers technical information supplied with the product.

Delivery

It is at our sole representatives’ option as to where delivery will be effected on your site in accordance with the companies occupational health and safety policy and in line with the companies standard terms and conditions. 

Delivery Vehicles

We as standard use 3 options of delivery 

Our small trucks are 2.2 meters wide but require an access way of 3meters or greater to accommodate the truck to move effectively. These trucks are capable of carrying up to 5 meters of soil. Please ensure you choose the 5 cubic meter option when requiring this size truck or a larger truck will be sent automatically.

The weight of this tuck fully loaded with soil is 9.5 to 10 ton please ensure your driveway or accessway is capable of carrying this load.

Our Large trucks are 2.5 meters wide but require an access way of 3.5 meters or greater to accommodate the truck to move effectively. These trucks are capable of carrying up to 10 meters of soil.

The weight of this tuck fully loaded with soil is 19.5 to 21 ton please ensure your driveway or accessway is capable of carrying this load.

Our Large truck and trailers are 2.5 meters wide but require an access way of 5.5 meters or greater to accommodate the truck to move effectively. These trucks are capable of carrying up to 30 meters of soil.

The weight of this tuck fully loaded with soil is 39.5 to 44 ton please ensure your driveway or accessway is capable of carrying this load.

Delivery platform 

The delivery platform to accept the topsoil shall be level dry and free of any debris. 

It is solely at the driver/ operators discretion as to its suitability.
